The monastery

Built, like almost the entire village, by the boys and the monks, the monastery accomodates seven monks at the present time. Beside the chapel, therefore located in the heart of the village, it forms with it, a small courtyard with a well. Better than a long speech, the photographs which follow show you the beauty in the simplicity, wanted by Father Revet .
Once the external walls were terminated, it was necessary to think of the inside fitting. For that, Providence wanted that Father Revet could recover a cloister facing from the XIVth century. Its simple and of a good taste embellishment, looks like it has been built for Riaumont.
The walls accomodate, on the ground floor, a vast chapter room for the community, a religious library and the cloister which joins the sacristy and the chapel.
On the first floor, the cells of the Fathers and Brothers are of a more stripped style, while waiting to join for Eternity the higher floor.
